[TR] GL4 vs GL5 Gear oils

I was reading the recent discussion about gearbox oils and found Macys:

Apparently it's a myth re GL4 oils not damaging yellow metals and GL5 oils
damaging them.
Sounds like it's a bit random as the what contains the sulfur compounds that
stain the yellow metals. 
 
GL4 oils don't have the EP value to withstand shock loading.
They recommend a GL5.
Don't take my word for it read the article.
