[TR] Leaf spring bushings

     ISTR that I used solid bronze bushings that I bought from ARE or TRF or somewhere. No complaints.

     The original rubber bushings on my TR3 where worn terribly and appeared melted to the spring eyes.

Hey all ~ 

 

I'm installing new bushings in the front eye of my TR3 leaf springs Someone told me these bushibg were bonded to the eye at the factory. Is this so? Do I need to apply adhesive to these before pressing them in or can I just install them without it? Just curious. Getting the old bushes and sleeves out was a piece of work. Sure felt like they were glued in!  :- )
