[TR] Holes? Badges?

If anyone has a nice side view mirror with holes 3.5” apart, let me know.  The car is sold and the new owner doesn’t like these holes.  A nice mirror is easier than repainting…..

Could also be an owner added side view mirror.  I haven’t seen a badge there on any of the previous TR3s I’ve seen or owned.

I have just noticed 2 small holes, 3.5 inches apart, below the passenger side stanchion (TR3). See attached pic.   I wish I had noticed them before the car was painted !

 

I wonder if maybe a previous owner had a badge there.

 

Two questions:  is anyone familiar with a badge which may have gone there?  Does anyone have one?
