[TR] Looking for carpet glue, the non aerosol type. Any recommendations

what i don't like about contact cement is its a one shot deal.don't get it exactly in the right place first time.......lots of cussing
that's why i recommended

 you get over half hour to move and position stuff.held my carpet in place for 4 years now.pulled off with some force when i needed to make repairs and it did not hurt the carpet.

 in the states we call that 'contact cement'
 brush on both surfaces...let tack, then stick together
 lots avail at any large box store *Lowes, Home Depot, Tractor Supply) Walmart, etc

  Back in the UK I used a product from a company called Evostik.   You'd apply glue to both surfaces, wait until it becomes tacky and then join.
