I installed one on my 1960 TR3A, along wit a rebuilt radiator, about 6 years ago when I was living in the Phoenix area. In Phoenix you need every advantage you can get!  

I have it set up to run after the engine is switched off  until it reaches a present temp (do not remember the setting).  I still use it here in Florid.  I have never had any problems nor high water temps!
