[TR] TR4 rear oil seal

I have always used the Moss conversion which requires grinding the crank.  But just for a change, I bought a Viton seal for the latest restoration (no grinding required).   It’ll be interesting to see how it turns out.  BTW, I have always been happy with the Moss seal.

we are rebuilding an early TR4 engine block.

 

what is the recommended procedure for the rear oil seal?  moss sells one, but come on – $400???
