[TR] problem with clutch

thank you all for the many answers (and your patience).

the restoration on this car was started over 10 years ago by a mechanic I foolishly trusted. many of the parts are at least that old now. including the hose, which has brake fluid on it just above the metal connection where it meets the slave. I’m going to replace it as I believe that is the problem.

but I am saving the other answers as I well know it could be additional problems.

I had to replace one of the brake hoses, which also leaked at the connection, so this is no surprise.

TR3 small mouth. finishing up years long restoration. car is running (YAY!!!) and driving. it now has 1 mile on it.

but the clutch has to be pumped to work. I’ve bled it several times but it has made no difference. I’ve carefully inspected around the master and slave; I don’t think it is leaking anywhere. brake fluid seems to go down very slowly in the reservoir when I bleed.

any thoughts? bleed it some more?
