never really thought of thatgenerally put in whats specified. run it one time, check fluid level and add if the dipstick says i need to.

I am changing oil in the 1970 TR6, for some reason (early onset oldtimers) I am a little confused.  Sump holds 9.64 pints (us or imperial)  that =s 4.7 quarts, OK 5 quarts not to be picky. But does that include the quart or less in the spin on oil filter ?
