[TR] What's the general life expectancy for rubber bushes for LBCs?

My 1966 TR4A has original bushes throughout the car.
On a recent roadworthiness inspection all were deemed to be good except for the steering rack mounts which were a little soft owing to oil contamination.
Perhaps I am just lucky.

I changed them 14 years bac on my Stag This were the days before I heard about polyurethane.

Are polyurethane bushes really fit and forget?
