I dissected the clogged hose and found it totally filled with rubber. It sounds like a good idea to change them on a regular basis, every 40 years or so. I changed them all including the clutch for the price of 1 SS hose. I also changed out the steel brake lines with copper/nickel which doesn't rust out and will last as long as the car will. Joe Mato
