[TR] TR250 engine dying issue - suggestions?

Pat, 
Had a similar problem with my TR3.  I enriched the mixture by a couple of
flats(SU H6) and it appears to have cured the problem.  You might also want
to check for air leaks around the carbs, manifold & vacume lines.

The TR did a 4-hour trip last week running great. It still runs great -
EXCEPT twice on our last drive while slowing downhill for stop sign or turn,
the engine speed dropped, engine died and my husband had to pop the clutch
to keep it going.

Fuel pump, which caused problems last year, failed under acceleration, not
deceleration.

Any ideas?
