[TR] TR250 engine dying issue - suggestions?

Check the float levels.

Could also be a simple matter of bringing your idle speed up.

I hardly ever have to richen or lean out the carbs on my car, but have to
fiddle with the idle setting 4x per year.

That said, we had an MGA in the shop last week that everybody diagnosed as a
bad fuel pump. Replaced the points and condenser and cured the "fuel
delivery" problem...................

Subject: [TR] TR250 engine dying issue - suggestions?

The TR did a 4-hour trip last week running great. It still runs great -
EXCEPT twice on our last drive while slowing downhill for stop sign or turn,
the engine speed dropped, engine died and my husband had to pop the clutch
to keep it going.

Fuel pump, which caused problems last year, failed under acceleration, not
deceleration.

Any ideas?

TIA.
