Wrap an attachment arm in an old towel for protection and put it in a vise.
They will bend, may not exactly as you intended, but they will bend. With
trial and error and patience, I got a good fit.

Did you ever try to bend those attachment arms?  They are beyond my level of
strength and technology.  Which is why my side screens are never on my car.
