[TR] Question on replacing the bushings in the steering column of my TR4A

Hi List,
I recently received a steering column rebuilding kit I ordered from The
Roadster Factory and I am having trouble figuring out how to install the new
bushings. So far, I have tried compressing them with channel lock pliers and
even a hose clamp. Has anybody out there done this recently?
