Simple Green works well, also, you might add a little orange oil to the mix.

Now that the TR4A body is off its frame - awaiting transfer to its new RATCO
frame - I would like to clean 16 years of crud off before starting 
disassembly.   Have not used any of the modern water-based degreasers; any 
recommendations?
