I would get under and re-torque the oil pan bolts as well.  Did you re-build
the trans or rear?  If so, change the fluifs there too.

Listers,

The first 500 "break-in" miles are now on the car, which I believe has "set"
the rings to the cylinders.
I am planning on performing the following tasks:

Change oil & filter
Inspect contents of filter for metal
Set valve lash
Torque the head
Change the plugs
Check the timing
Compression check (to get a baseline)

What else would you recommend?
