[TR] Pan Am - and the cars in it

The movie industry makes "stars" of murderers.
My grandfather took part in stopping the murderous Bonnie and Clyde.
He was really ticked at the way they were portrayed in the movie.
And so it goes...
Pan Am was going to be about the airline.. I thought.  The first one was good, but its becoming unbelievable in certain aspects.
I was sad the other day, riding in the hotel van, to see the famous Pan Am logo on a long haul truck.
Juan Tripp would have cried.

As Andy Mace says, the four door wagon (Estate Car) could have been a Triumph
Ten / Standard Companion. It could also have been a Triumph 2000 Estate Car,
if the period is mid '60's. It might even have been a four Herald station
wagon that managed to reach 'England' from India - in which case I think it
would have been called a Standard Gazelle (?) :)
But is this programme a
history of Pan Am? 
If so, I sincerely hope they stop it before it's time to
stage 'Lockerbie.' 
That's something the families concerned could very well do
without and in much the same way the whole world could similarly do without
the TV programme or separate full length feature film of Fred & Rose West.
This heinous couple were the proven serial killers of eleven young girls who
they hacked into pieces and buried in their garden - and were also believed to
be (but not proven) killers of several other little girls. All this happened
less than 30 miles from where I live. Not so long ago, there was an advert in
our local paper from the film company particularly looking for a Datsun
260Z and a Mitsubishi Starion 'for important background shots in the film
about the Wests.'
Never mind about how the families of the children might
feel, "you've got to get the detail right." Sometimes, modern media is utterly
sickening by its insensitivity. Rant off.
