[TR] TR6 flywheel bolts locking plates

Just pulled the flywheel from my 74 TR6 to have it resurfaced in preparation for the new clutch & pressure plate. The 4 large bolts holding the flywheel had no locking plates on them. The factory ROM does not mention them but the Haynes does. Any consensus as to whether they are used on a late TR6?
