[TR] question on magnesium wheels

This all raises a question: are "magnesium" wheels pure magnesium or are they
an alloy (presumably with aluminum)? ISTR, meanwhile, that the crankcase of
the VW Beetle engine (and most of its derivatives) was magnesium....
