Am closing in on 50,000 miles on the rebuilt TR3A engine. Have been running Valvoline 10/30 full syn with highest quality oil filters. Book says to replace the rod bearings at 50k. Without taking them off to peek, I'm wondering how necessary this really is? Terry Smith, '59 TR3A New Hampshire
