Also WD40 is not a good lubricant for this sort of task. What I normally use is the same stuff I put in the dashpots, air tool oil. It is a pretty light oil, much like 3 in 1. I think the main reason I started using it is because it has a convenient spout for dribbling into the dashpots. mjb.
