Ok, this may sound stupid, but is there any chance that it's because
Team.Net uses ".net" instead of ".com"?

The strange thing is that, if I save the TN archive page to my hard drive,
and then open it, I get the paid Google ads.  This seems to indicate that
the difference has nothing to do with the page source, and is some kind of
decision being made at Google.
