[TR] Locking Steering Column

Basically this is what I have done - locked the ignition put everything in
place and tighten it down.

The problem starts there.

With the column bolts tight - I can unlock the ignition turn the wheel and
when I take the key out it will not lock.

I have to loosen the bolts for it to lock.

Then I start over. I have tried several different things but to no avail.

I do not remember having any problems when I rebuilt the car 7 years ago nor
before I removed the dash and column..
