in texas you could probably get antique plates for a cardboard box if you 
had a title.  antiques require no inspection, just insurance.  and although 
they are only supposed to be driven in club events and parades, I have yet 
to hear of anyone getting stopped.

oh, yeah.  Officer, I'm just test driving the car.  I just adjusted the 
points . . .
