I've had the painted Dunlops in the 4.5" for 9 years with no problems. But then I switch back & forth with the steel wheels and a set of alloys just because I can (use a 6mm spacer with the wires so I can keep the long studs). When a little guy I had a toy car you could swap the wheels on & off -- was a favorite -- guess I still feel the same. Geo
