If it was me (and I have sold many items on Ebay) I would advise him to send me the check for the item with the understanding that he will leave positive feedback that you have done everything to accomadate him including refunding his money and the shipping which you stated in the listing you would not do.

all out with this fellow to be accommodating , but now he wants to back out
