[TR] TR3 side curtain windows

What type of material was used for the front (fixed) portion of the side
curtain windows? It appears to have been stitched directly to the side
curtain at the front edge, so I am assuming that it was similar to the
flexible window material used in soft tops, but I'm not sure. The
remaining pieces have become hard and brittle with age. If it was a soft
top type of window material, does it have tendency to flap around in the
wind?

As you can probably tell, I have never seen a side curtain what was in
new condition.
