I'm just not sure there's room for it all; it's a much tighter squeeze in there for the standard fan than on a TR6, so I would have some concerns that using the adapter hub might create too little clearance. I'm not sure if that is the definitive answer to "why it can't be done", but I suspect it might be. Tim
