My 67 TR4A is not fitted with the stay rod that runs from the oil pan bolt to the clutch slave cylinder mounting hole. I assume it was discarded long ago by some mechanic as a matter of convenience. Is it safe to operate the car without the rod or am I risking some sort of catastrophic failure if I don't replace it? Thanks Glenn 67 TR4A CTC76828LO
