Ray,

I dont think this answer will help but if you are talking about a TR4, I 
fabricated a new hook and brazed it on with my torch.

Now this car was in a full body off frame restoration at the time and the 
windshield was off the car and glass/rubber removed.

I have no idea of how to fix a driver.
