[TR] [6pack] Carbon on top of pistons - engine experts please help!

Chapter Two
 
When I took my SAAB to have the motor replaced (the insurance company  
insisted on a used motor, not a rebuilt), the mechanic at the SAAB garage told  me 
that a surprisingly small amount of water could cause this.  Less than a  
thimble full as I recall he said will reduce the compression chamber volume to  the 
point that the piston can't push against it any longer, and as I think Cole  
Porter said "Somethin's gotta give".  (Not Cole Porter the mechanic,  rather, 
the composer).
