I feel your pain.  The local Porsche Club of America stiffed me for an autocross trophy in 1972. Gave trophies three and four deep in the "higher" classes, then simply announced they were out of trophies.  Didn't even announce us winners of the "lower" classes.  Didn't call us up for our kisses from Miss Bloomington.  Claimed they would send out the trophies later.  I'm still waiting.

In more recent years the BMW club and the local Land O' Lakes Region of SCCA stiffed me again.

It's a breach of trust that just irritates you.
