[TR] TR6 steering column - removal & bushing replacement?

Does anyone have any advice on the steps and tricks involved in the
removal of the upper steering column in a TR6 - including the
replacement of the upper and lower bushings within?  Is this as hard as
it look?

All the manuals I have seem to be rather vague on this - particularly
the bushing replacement.
