Speaking of transmissions, I am in process of a rebuild of engine on a newly
acquired one-owner 65 TR4. Upon removal of the tranny cover, amazed was I to
discover a quarter sized hole on the top of the casing about two inches aft
of the bolt flange!  Someone applied a BFH for some unknown purpose,
perhaps.

I'm pulling the engine and tranny together, and will for sure be back to you
all for advise as I proceed.
