[TR] remote control master off switch amperage?

Google has found several remote controls that work with automotive and  
marine applications.  They are rated by amps.  How many amps would I  
need if the wire is the ground to a relay that allows other relays to  
send current?  I would guess not many, but then I am a psychologist!   
Advice please!
