Experiences vary, of course.  On the TR3A, it seemed to work fine mounted
slightly more than midway up the inner fender, above where the stock pump
went.  ISTR Facet rates them to lift to 18" or so, but I've not had any
problem with even higher lifts.  The one I used on the motorhome generator
must've been at least 24" above the bottom of the tank, and had no trouble.
