My driver's door has an elongated depression around the door handle from being
closed too hard by the handle.  This area has been repaired before and
reappears.  I am thinking I could cut a hole in a 1 x 4 board to go over the
inside of the handle and press it against the door skin until it goes
straight.  Then I could screw the ends of the board to the door frame for a
permanent fix.

Any comments are appreciated.
