Well, today I saw this treatment on black vinyl (ok, maybe imitation canvas; didn't get close enough to see) on....a brand-new silver S-Type Jaguar. Take me now; I've seen it all. ;-) --Andy Mace -------------------------------1096426689 Content-Type: text/html; charset="US-ASCII" Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable

Maybe they really DO need that Explorer-based Jaguar, perhaps in a true "shooting brake" version? --Andy Mace From cak@dimebank.com Wed Sep 29 19:25:41 2004 From: cak@dimebank.com (Chris Kantarjiev) Date: Wed, 29 Sep 2004 11:25:41 -0700 (PDT) Subject: [Tr-gang] Re: Tr-gang digest, Vol 1 #42 - 3 msgs Message-ID: <200409291825.i8TIPfWv009329@moose.dimebank.com> > still is losing over $600 million on their "Prestig > e Group"? It's the unions' fault, just as it has been for 30 years. They took the British motor industry down once, and they can do it again! I was in Europe last week, and mostly got my news from the BBC. There's a huge hubbub because Jaguar want to shut down one of their three plants; unions on strike, sympathy stoppages, blah blah. Nothing has changed. I was living in NI during the late 70's/early 80's when the unions brought down Triumph. Listening to Dad talk about negotiations with them was incredible. We were living in a country with a 35% unemployment rate, Dad was bringing in almost 1k jobs, and the union was still demanding incredibly silly things like "we must be paid in cash every Friday before noon". (which, as you might guess, does great things for Friday afternoon productivity/attendance) How he managed the place for 4 years (79-82) without either killing someone or a strike is beyond me.
