Someone just asked me about a TR4A commission number that begins 1CTC ... I
know I've seen the significance of that 1, but can't dig it out of
my addled brain. It's not on any of the obvious websites. It's
not an indication of a CKD car.
===========
Are you sure it's not a CKD car? If not, I'd have to wonder if the '1' might
actually be a '7' instead, which might indicate that this car was first sold
in Canada in the 1967 model year. I'm not sure it was universal, but a lot
of Canadian Triumphs have a single digit stamped in front of the Commission
number, apparently by a Provincial authority(?), to designate the model year.
There are a few such Heralds, etc., listed this way on my Database.

*Mrs Irrelevant: Oh, is it a jet?
*Man: Well, no ... It's not so much of a jet, it's more your, er,
Triumph Herald engine with wings.
