I pulled the distributor and disassembled it to get the points plate out.<br>
(Actually I disassembled more, because that little circlip on the vacuum<br>
advance arm dropped down under the base plate) Supporting the points plate<br>
on my bench vice, the screw in the gap between the jaws, I whacked it with<br>
my impact tool, the old style one that you hit with a hammer. It came<br>
right out. A new screw with Locktite 242 replaced it.<br>
