Put a motif clip in the hole and screw in your stud.<br>

Took the gas tank cover off. taped the correct wrench for the screw stud <br>
on a yard stick and play doed the nut in the wrench, and patiently got <br>
it to work. A pain, but it worked.<br>

Get a stud with #10 machine thread,  drill the hole to appropriate size,<br>
put a small punch through the hole and tap it, it will put a dent in the<br>
panel in the trunk underneath, then use a rota broach bit and make a 1/2"<br>
hole in that under panel, now you can install a nut and washer on the the<br>
treaded stud, maybe use some blue locktite or a nylock nut.  problem solved<br>
for good.<br>

Put a small copper wire in the hole with your screw-in stud.  It will get a bite.  Then clip it short<br>
and screw it down.  Has worked for me before.<br>
