<div>The cursed Hayes device vapor recovery worked best on the bent neck of the 64 Falcon with a extension hose dropped in the tank the bellows pulled back and a lower discharge level. The same hose works wonders with the same slower fill rate and the when it's full you can have back splash. Travis C. made a neck adapter the helped as it had a hole to allow the back air pressure to escape. But the faster you go the more you vaporize the fuel . Fast filling is kinda like paying twice these days. Today's fuel discolors paint so if you leave no expansion room in the tank park in the sun beware as fuel pushes easily past the cork or any combination of added gaskets. As others have commented always had the problem with motorcycle tanks even have it with my 89 NX Honda. </div><div><br></div>

Went to gas up, stuck the nozzle in, put the automatic trip on, and was shocked that the tanks filled completely. This was about a year ago. Every fill up since, even at different gas stations, has had the same result. Goes totally against logic and critical thinking, because previously the only way to get gas in was to break the seal.
