I can hear it until the engine starts.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>The way you isolate the mount for the fuel pump can be key to the noise level.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Dash Red light – always check the wiring diagram for correct wiring connections.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Check for correct wire connections at the Voltage Regulator and at the Ignition Switch.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Make sure the ign. Switch is in the OFF position.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>Accessories, OFF, RUN, START are the 4 positions.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>My guess is that the White wire from the dash light is on the #1 ignition switch post with the brown wire instead of the #2 post with the White wires.<o:p></o:p></p><p class=MsoNormal>It is also possible that the ign. Switch is hung up somehow, turn the ign.
