Coming back from a little drive, I could clearly hear some extra clattering coming from under the hood. A quick listen with the hood up seemed to lay the blame with the generator, but we had people coming shortly, no time to check more. A confirmation drive this evening confirmed it. Once warmed up, the generator gets real noisy. It is generating just fine, I have both a voltmeter and an ammeter to prove it.<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>The current generator is a rebuilt unit I got from Napa in 2010 ( It's actually the second from then, the first having a brush shatter after just a couple hundred mules). But I only have a few thousand miles on it since then. <o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:12.0pt'>I want to buy a replacement and swap the core. Rock Auto claims to have them (look under old Mustangs), but are there any other sources that you guys could recommend?
