The question was asked earlier in the thread by, I believe, Dan Eiland, if there had ever been a list of Rootes dealers available. I happen to have in my possession just such an animal; it is the “United States Dealer List” for “Sunbeam…A Rootes Product.” It is a list of all the U.S.-based Rootes dealers in 1965, the year that the list was printed. It says on the back cover, “For Further Information, Contact British American Imports, Inc., 24-16 Bridge Plaza South, Long Island City, New York, 11101.”<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>If I remember correctly (and this was at least 35 years ago), an old friend of mine at the time (as well as a Tiger owner) gave me this publication. He had several of them due to the fact that his brother-in-law was the Sunbeam dealer in the Oklahoma City, OK, area (Vern Collins of Vern Collins Motor Co., U.S. 66 at North Redmond, Bethany, OK) and my friend had purchased his Tiger from him. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>I have taken a look at this publication and have tried to find some of the dealerships that the participants in this thread have mentioned, but have only been able to find one (Nick Graffeo Motors, 1809 3rd Ave., Birmingham, AL). Since this list was published/printed sometime in 1965, this leads me to believe that the dealer network for Rootes cars in the U.S. may have been a bit transitory in nature. Since Rootes dealers would have still been around for several years after this brochure was printed, it is reasonable to assume that there were more dealers added and/or some dealers dropped out of the network. <o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>Andy Walker<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>Edmond, OK<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>B382001600LRXFE<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'>TAC #740<o:p></o:p></span></p><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif;color:#1F497D'><o:p> </o:p></span></p><div><div style='border:none;border-top:solid #E1E1E1 1.0pt;padding:3.0pt 0in 0in 0in'><p class=MsoNormal><b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'>From:</span></b><span style='font-size:11.0pt;font-family:"Calibri",sans-serif'> Tigers [mailto:tigers-bounces@autox.team.net] <b>On Behalf Of </b>D or G at sbc via Tigers<br><b>Sent:</b> Wednesday, August 24, 2022 9:50 AM<br><b>To:</b> Tiger List <tigers@autox.team.net>; Daniel Eiland <deiland1@att.net><br><b>Subject:</b> Re: [Tigers] Fw: Original Tiger Port of Entry and Sales Information<o:p></o:p></span></p></div></div><p class=MsoNormal><o:p> </o:p></p><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Helvetica Neue"'>Some original Tiger sales literature have the dealer info stamped on them, so these could ID dealers.<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Helvetica Neue"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Helvetica Neue"'>David<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-family:"Helvetica Neue"'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div></div><div id="ydp346809ecyahoo_quoted_1903596763"><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#26282A'>On Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at 12:09:45 AM PDT, Daniel Eiland via Tigers <<a href="mailto:tigers@autox.team.net">tigers@autox.team.net</a>> wrote: <o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#26282A'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#26282A'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><div id=ydp346809ecyiv4732520198><div><div id=ydp346809ecyiv4732520198><div><div id=ydp346809ecyiv4732520198><div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#26282A'>With the talk about Tigers and Ports of Entry, I was wondering if anyone has ever put together a list of the Sunbeam car dealer network?<o:p></o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#26282A'><o:p> </o:p></span></p></div><div><p class=MsoNormal><span style='font-size:10.0pt;font-family:"Helvetica Neue";color:#26282A'>I know that some cars I've owned you could trace which dealer originally sold the car through the original paperwork.
