Normally when I restore a car, I try to be exact with the paint, because it's just as expensive to do it right as to do it wrong. With the Tiger though, I'd be happy with close. Maybe only 1 in a 100 people I talk to even know what a Tiger is, so being a shade
off won't be a big deal. With that said, I'm a big fan of Dark Blue's and Black and not so much a fan of Red. To be honest, I could paint the thing Ford Presidential Blue and be happier with it, but a little research and help from the group might make it "right"
the first time. 🙂

I remember a number of years back this message board had a significant debate of what the real #86 BRG was. I recall discussion regarding paint that wasn't exposed to the elements still "aging," that a more recent repaint was therefore was more accurate
as it had aged less, that any modern formulation method wasn't accurate and what REAL BRG was compared to Rootes BRG, and that Rootes got it wrong - I faintly recall one argument being (no that that mattered). Nothing wrong with striving for accuracy. It just
seem like a moving target to hit and subject to the opinion of others. Wishing you the best in whatever you decide. In the end only YOU need to be content.
