Figured it might last longer before sagging. Also put an extra foam piece across the bar at the front of the seat......for 2 reasons....wanted extra thigh support and to delay the metal bar eventually eating through the foam. Worked for me. My seats from my Mk 1A have the rubber diaphragm. Is there any info on line about restoring Mk 1A seats? I want to be sure I know what I'm getting into before pulling the trigger on an order to SS, or ripping mine apart.</div>
