If your booster has just undergone a rebuild by you or someone else it may have been reassembled incorrectly. Ask me how I know. There's a horseshoe-shaped piece, made of spring steel, that acts as a spring to the two valves in the booster. It's shown (poorly) in edge-view in Figure 10 of the workshop manual as item no. 30 - "Valve springs". If it is installed upside down, the valves will not close as they should and the brakes will lock up after one application.</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small">Good luck</div><div class="gmail_default" style="font-size:small"><br></div><div><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_signature" data-smartmail="gmail_signature"><div dir="ltr">Will - 382001570 <br><a href="mailto:Tigers@embarqmail.com" target="_blank">Tigers@embarqmail.com</a></div></div></div><br></div><br><div class="gmail_quote"><div dir="ltr" class="gmail_attr">On Thu, Jun 18, 2020 at 9:56 AM Ron Fraser <<a href="mailto:rfraser@bluefrog.com">rfraser@bluefrog.com</a>> wrote:<br></div><blockquote class="gmail_quote" style="margin:0px 0px 0px 0.8ex;border-left:1px solid rgb(204,204,204);padding-left:1ex"><div lang="EN-US"><div class="gmail-m_-4900758661132126622WordSection1"><p class="MsoNormal">Joe <u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"> Just a couple of notes about this – things you have probably already done.<u></u><u></u></p><p class="gmail-m_-4900758661132126622MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0.75in"><u></u><span>1<span style="font:7pt "Times New Roman""> </span></span><u></u>bled the brakes again<u></u><u></u></p><p class="gmail-m_-4900758661132126622MsoListParagraph" style="margin-left:0.75in"><u></u><span>2<span style="font:7pt "Times New Roman""> </span></span><u></u>check to make sure the weight of the brake pedal is not activating the booster – I had a poor pedal return spring that caused this problem<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">fittings - <a href="https://www.sherco-auto.com/brake-fuel-line-fittings-and-steel-brake-line.html" target="_blank">https://www.sherco-auto.com/brake-fuel-line-fittings-and-steel-brake-line.html</a><u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">brake fittings and much more<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal">Ron Fraser<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><b>From:</b> Tigers <<a href="mailto:tigers-bounces@autox.team.net" target="_blank">tigers-bounces@autox.team.net</a>> <b>On Behalf Of </b>Joe Brown<br><b>Sent:</b> Wednesday, June 17, 2020 5:14 PM<br><b>To:</b> Tigers Den <<a href="mailto:Tigers@autox.team.net" target="_blank">Tigers@autox.team.net</a>><br><b>Subject:</b> [Tigers] Booster Issue<u></u><u></u></p><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p><div><p class="MsoNormal">Hi,<u></u><u></u></p><div><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">I finally finished my Tiger enough to take it for a test drive. Does anybody know where to get them or what they are called? The female threaded part appears to be 3/8"-14 and I think the tubing that goes into it is 3/16" with a bubble flare. I have plenty of tubing, I just need the fittings. <u></u><u></u></p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal"><u></u> <u></u></p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">Thanks,<u></u><u></u></p></div><div><p class="MsoNormal">Joe Brown<u></u><u></u></p></div></div></div></div>_______________________________________________<br>
