These are originally a paper type gasket material.<br></div><div dir='ltr'><br></div><div dir='ltr'>The modern repros are a molded rubber with a edge hob/ridge to locate the<br></div><div dir='ltr'>part. The better quality rubbers will have a cross hatch on the back of the<br></div><div dir='ltr'>rubber gasket to provide grip.. But you will note that with the moderm<br></div><div dir='ltr'>rubbers the gaskets often form a fat black like around the handles and<br></div><div dir='ltr'>hinges.. They also often move and you see them skewed under the part.<br></div><div dir='ltr'><br></div><div dir='ltr'>The original gaskets located much better and were not visible and less<br></div><div dir='ltr'>likely to move.<br></div><div dir='ltr'><br></div><div dir='ltr'>So if making gaskets dont always assume a rubber gasket is a better option.<br></div><div dir='ltr'><br></div><div dir='ltr'>Just my .02<br></div><div dir='ltr'><br></div><div dir='ltr'>On Sun., 17 May 2020, 10:06 Joe Brown via Tigers, <<a ymailto="mailto:tigers@autox.team.net" href="mailto:tigers@autox.team.net">tigers@autox.team.net</a>><br></div><div dir='ltr'>wrote:<br></div><div dir='ltr'><br></div><div dir='ltr'>> Thanks for the photo.
