I reported the sale of the VIN tag sale FWIW. Also a JAL tag listed on there. I guess someone could use rear end and engine numbers to try and see if the tag was for YOUR car !?. 500$ for a wall plaque seems unlikely. There are also the ‘blank’ tags for sale which can be used for special construction cars so, I don’t get too excited about that. I’m guessing that tag that sold will end up on an Alger sometime in the future. I guess if you had a Tiger basket case with no tag you could get it approved by the DMV, but still, wouldn’t be original to the car.
